Following an in-depth survey conducted with 240 PE-experienced Chairmen and 30 PE investors, we have drafted a number of short reports on the role of the PE Chairman covering the draw, the required skill set, the opportunities and the challenges.

For this report – Part 4 – we asked our surveyed Chairmen what they look for in a PE backer. Their responses fell into several categories:

  • Engagement
  • Shared alignment
  • Knowledge & understanding
